BURLINGTON, VERMONT - The Burlington Juggling Convention will occur July 15-19, the five days preceding the IJA Annual Convention in Purchase, New York. It will be held in the city-owned Memorial Auditorium, which features wood floors, good lighting and a downtown location. Events include workshops, parade, Public Show, and a caravan to Purchase. The package price of less than $25 will include breakfast and lunch in the basement of the auditorium. Housing will be in private homes, and camping is available less than a mile away. DURHAM, NEW HAMPSHIRE - The University of New Hampshire Juggling Club will host the first annual "Live Free or Juggle" convention Saturday, April 23 at the University Field House (Ludholm Gym). Doors open at 8 a.m. There will be non-stop juggling, beginners workshops and an open house to all visitors. The evening will top off with juggling movies and videos at 8 p.m. in the New Hampshire Hall. Contact: Mark Neisser or Andrew Schwartz.

 

EUROPEAN IJA CONVENTION -The location of the 1983 IJA European Jugglers Convention has been changed. It will be held September 16, 17, and 18 in the Salle Polyvalante of Laval, in the department of Mayenne, France. Laval is easily accessible by train from Paris or Bordeaux. Lodging is being arranged, and it promises to be "pas mal comme fete" ("a bash"). Contact:  L'Institut Francais de Jonglage, Le Mans, France.

 

FORT WAYNE, INDIANA - Jugglers Anonymous will host the Third St. Fred's Jugglefest Friday through Sunday, April 22 - 24. It will feature egg juggling, community mini-shows, competitions in novice, senior and joggling categories, a Public Show, feast and frolic, etc.

 

A Host Family program will provide bed and breakfast for about half the cost of a motel. Most events will be at Franke Park in Fort Wayne. Registration is $6, bed and breakfast cost $7 per night. Contact:  Jugglers Anonymous, Fort Wayne, Indiana.

 

MONTREAL, CANADA - "Jonglerie and Brioche," will be the fare April 8, 9, and
