LAS VEGAS REVIEWED

By Daniel Holzman, North Hollywood, California

Kris Kremo began his act at the Stardust Hotel in Las Vegas by juggling four suitcases with over-sized handles. He followed with derby and cigar tricks, including hand tossing the cigar (resting on the rim of the hat) and the hat to catch the cigar in his mouth with the derby balanced upon it.

Kremo's stage presence is superb and his act was flawless, every move synchronized perfectly to the music. It contained some wellreceived comedy bits also.

Albert Lucas, at the Hacienda Hotel, was also very good, even though he was limited by the small size of the ice rink on which he skated. Lucas opened his act with seven rings, which missed the ceiling by inches. After a run of at least ten seconds he casually pulled them all over his head. His act also included seven balls, five tennis rackets, three ping pong balls and his finale trick -a ring revolving on one leg, a ring revolving on an arm, a ball spinning on a finger, another ball spinning on a mouthstick and three rings juggled with the left hand. His torch routine, including continuous throws from the front through the legs, was the highlight of his show.

Talking to him after the show, he said he wants to juggle only part time because he is working to become a professional tennis player. He recently celebrated 20 years of juggling and he's only 23!

Frediani, appearing at the Flamingo Hotel, showed some nice ball work. This included spinning balls with each hand while bouncing one on his forehead. His fast club work was well-received by the audience, and he ended his routine by catching rings over his head which were tossed by members of the audience.
