On May 19, Erwin Dougall of Brussels, Belgium, died following a long illness. He and his wife Viviane built up one of the top acts in Europe through hard work over a period of years. He was a master with balls and up to six clubs.

Born on February 9, 1938, in Budapest, he studied at the Hungarian school for circus arts. During his early career, he was a member of the well-known Villams juggling troupe.
