Robert York is headlining at comedy clubs across the nation as a Western-style juggler. Complete with bola tie, cowboy boots, ] O-gallon hat and his tradmark handlebar mustache, York's act includes bullwhip cracking, ring juggling and a seven-ball cascade.

Andrew Head of the Chicago area is performing his stand-up comedy and juggling for a variety of audiences. He does one routine, the "Juggle-o-matic" with a derby, scarf and bowling ball!

Fresh off his third place finish in the Juniors at Denver, Clarke McFarlane won first place in the freshman talent show at the College of Wooster in Ohio. He received an enthusiastic standing ovation for his unicycle and juggling act and is now in the process of organizing a juggling club on that campus.

The talented performers of Ontario have been doing well. Jonathan Seglins has been welcomed into the Alliance of Canadian Cinema, Television and Radio Artists. He got a national commercial for Labatts beer, which also featured Jean-Michel Pare (Biko) and Scott Norman in a series called "The Blue Zone." Scott has been doing a show called "A Little Night Music" for the past five years at Harper's Dinner Theatre in Ontario. Pare and Seglins do a cabaret show at the Berlin night club on weekends.

The Circus Kingdom invites top-notch college-age jugglers to audition for a summer tour. The troupe is comprised of 20 performers and a 10 piece brass band. All personnel are college students with professional skills. The nonprofit circus corporation is affiliated with the United Methodist church. For details, contact L. David Harris, director, Pittsburgh, PA.

Butterfly Man Robert Nelson, fresh from a tour of Florida where he ate lunch with Holly Greeley, says he is "working constantly" and is in great health: Much of good health can no doubt be attributed to the fact that he has been joggling three miles a day. Nelson says he is preparing to challenge Owen Morse in the joggling races in Baltimore next summer. He will be doing shows in Arizona and Los Angeles in January, and he is working on a new club swinging routine.

Daniel Rosen recently finished a oneweek run at Bally's in Las Vegas and is putting together another spot on the "Tonight Show. " Like former partner Edward Jackman, Rosen has been keeping himself busy with acting engagements. He has guest-starred on "Head of the Class" and done numerous acting jobs in Los Angeles. "What I hope to do with acting is, instead of opening up for people... I would like to be the main act," he said.

Greg Bennick has joined with Kevin Cone to form Perpetual Motion. Perpetual Motion will do a lot of school shows aimed at teaching youngsters. "It's kind of teaching juggling and a juggling show all in one," said Bennick. Bennick has been performing every week with Bingo the Clown at the Ground Round in Waterbury, Conn. He is also planning on taking mime and dance theater improv courses to help him develop a street show.

Michael Menes has been producing a cabaret show one evening a month for the

past eight months. The so-called "New Vaudeville Cabaret," in W atchung, N.J., presents 45 different variety acts, with Menes serving as M.C. - and a performer.

Jeff Mason and Jon Voss are just two of the many jugglers who have performed at the cabaret. January's cabaret will be a benefit show, with 10-12 performers

scheduled to appear. Menes is also the associate producer of the Theater Club Funambules in New York City. He performed there in late December.

The Give and Take Jugglers of Philadelphia have been very busy throughout December, doing over 50 shows. On Dec. 3 they did a program with the Philadelphia Orchestra. "It was definitely a departure from our usual vaudevillecomedy style," said co-founder Dave Gillies. The group, which used four members instead of their usual two, performed a seven-minute routine to the "Skaters' Waltz, " juggling parts of a snowman. They used 16-inch balls for the finale, when all four did interlocking cascades. In the near future, the Give and Take Jugglers will be working with English juggler Richard Bratby and continuing their busy schedule of corporate dates and school shows, showcasing their blend of vaudeville and comedy.
