Carello Jr.
Edouard Hunziker (his real name) is a 19-year-old Swiss citizen, son of an artistic family, who began juggling at age 11. From then until now, he has worked basically in German and Swiss cabarets, but says he is very interested in the circus. He put on a very classical act with balls, clubs, and balancing. He finished with torches, which pleased the jury. Eddy put on a flawless act that was rewarded by a silver medal and the Michel Oks Prize.

Csaba
Csaba is an 18-year-old from the Budapest Circus School. He was inspired mostly by Kris Kremo, but unfortunately for him he was badly served by a poor audiotape which prevented the spectators from fully appreciating his act. He worked with
a cane and bowler hat, three balls, then
three cigar boxes, before finishing with five boxes aligned in a
vertical balance. He received a special prize from Coca-Cola.
The winners of the festival were:
Gold Medals: 1) Helene Turcote & Luc Martin (Canada), trapeze. They did a very sensual, theatrical act never before seen in the circus or on a trapeze. 2) Guang Xi Troupe (China), fixed bar (a type invented by the Chinese so they didn't have to use a Russian bar!) . 3)
Trio Mazotti (Hungary), balance.
Silver Medals: 1) Tian Jing Troupe (China), perch pole. 2) Gombyn Odgerel (Mongolia), contortionist. 3) Tvelenev & Emelokov (USSR), hand to hand balance. 4) Eddy Carello Jr. (Switzerland), juggling. 5) Tamara Hurshudova (USSR), trapeze. 6)
