Winners among the 46 acts competing at the Fifth International Festival of "La Piste aux Espoirs" in Tournai, Belgium, included several jugglers. Duo Badaboum won a bronze award in the "Espoir" category, and Rene Doubek, a Czech juggler, won bronze in the amateur category. Rod Laver and John Durham from Fooltime in England won a special award from the jury for their parody characterization of the "British gentlemen," complete with bowler hat, cup of tea and nine clubs.
