FESTIVALS August
2-7 Hagen, Germany The
17th European Juggling Convention will be held in the Ischeland
complex in Hagen, which features sports halls, camping grounds, a pool
and stadium. Good, reasonably-priced vegetarian meals will be
available round-the-clock. A parade will kick off the festival, there
will be two public shows, and the public will participate in the Games
in the stadium. Street performing is permitted on all streets and
squares in town, and center city is just 10 minutes walk from the
festival site. The nearest large airport is Dusseldorf. Registration
is 70 DM for adults and 40 DM for children. Contact European Juggling

27 The
sixth annual Club J.J. Jest Fest will occur in De Rivera Park in
downtown Put-In-Bay on South Bass Island, just off the north shore of
Ohio in Lake Erie. Juggling will continue from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. on
Saturday, but the partying will go on all weekend so plan on camping
out. The festival is free, but the ferry ride to the island is $7
round trip. Take the Millers Boat Line ferry from Catawba Island,

23-25 The
Charlotte Jugglers Association sponsors the Sixth Annual Hurricane
Hugo Flying Objects Juggling Festival at the Tuckaseegee Gymnasium on
Tuckaseegee Road. Games, shows and the Hurricane Challenge are

7-9 Lodi, California The
1994 Lodi Juggling Festival will again be held at Micke Grove Park and
Zoo in Lodi. Camping, public show, barbecue, street performing.

8 Cleveland, Ohio The
Rubber City Jugglers and St. Ignatius Circus Club present a new and
improved festival for this area. New location, fun, free admission,
open stage and prop raffle. Juggling from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. and
refreshments from 5-7 p.m. at St. Ignatius High School in Cleveland.

Dayton Area Manipulators And Jugglers (DAMAJ) in Kettering present the
"After Thanksgiving
Fest" at the Kettering Recreation Complex. Contact John Phipps or

24-27, 1995 The First Australian Juggling Festival will be held in this city, about four hours south of Perth. If
you're thinking of having a festival, send
information to Juggler's World as far enough ahead of
time as possible so that other jugglers can plan
