ENTERTAINMENT PLUSI

There will be 24-hour juggling in the 9,600-square-foot Nachez Complex at the hotel. A cocktail party is planned for mid-week, and we'll make nightly excursions to hotels on the Strip to see the stars perform. Jugglers appearing in Las Vegas include Wally Eastwood, Dick Franco, Nino Frediani, Anthony Gatto, Michael Godeau and Rejean St. Jule (show tickets are $20-$30.) In addition, the world-renowned Cirque du Soleil is performing at Treasure Island (tickets are $52.80), and a thrilling lineup of internationally celebrated circus acts is presented free of charge from 11 a.m.-midnight under the pink and white big top at Circus Circus.

Las Vegas offers fun and entertainment unlike any other city in the country. However, with its reputation for bright lights, indoor games and entertainment, many visitors overlook its nearby outdoor attractions. You can play golf or tennis, go swimming, go skiing at Mount Charleston, go sightseeing at Hoover Dam and Lake Mead (the largest man-made lake in the Western hemisphere), hike, camp and search for petroglyphs at the Valley of Fire State Park, or climb rocks with IJA secretary Richard Dingman at Red Rock Canyon. And pack your bowling balls! Tournament directors Elliot Goldstein and Darrell Toomey want to challenge you again to Graveyard-Shift Bowling. Only $1 per game shoes free. For a truly memorable evening, load your pickup truck with a cooler of drinks and lawn chairs, drive out into the desert and watch for UFOs!

The IJA is planning a Friday, January 6, bus trip to the Colorado River boomtown of Laughlin, Nevada. A mere $5 per person fee includes round-trip transportation, casino fun book and lunch. Check the appropriate box on the registration form if you are interested.
