1989 

Jerome Thomas and Victor & Anatoly blew away everyone at the European Convention in Maastricht.... Dan Menendez performs the bounce piano on the Tonight Show.. 

 

1990 

The IJA awards Kris Kremo it's Award of Excellence... The Passing Zone are breaking in to TV... Computer programs are being written that generate and display possible juggling patterns.... Mark Nizer / Darn, Good and Funny win the IJA Championships in Los Angeles... Sergei Ignatov and Airjazz were among the highlights of :he European convention... George Gillson's book, 'Beyond the Cascade" names and popularize many three ball tricks. 

 

1991 

Anthony Gatto's video, 'To Be the Best" is released... Andrew Head / Doubble Troubble win the IJA Championships, but due to due newly introduced and now controversial Kappell judging system, no gold medals were awarded... Clockwork debuts their flowerpots and other creative routines in US and. Europe.  Nicholaus Holz, Fratelli Zucchini are hits at the European convention in Verona... American and European jugglers get a taste of jugglers in the former Soviet Union at the First International Juggling Convention in Tbilisi, Georgia... Trixie and Ignatov are honored by IJA at its Festival in St. Louis... Juggling club formed in Tokyo... Michael Moschen asks other jugglers not to do his tricks, sparking great debate in the juggling community... The Internet newsgroup rec.juggling came into being. It soon becomes the most popular forum for juggling discussion around the world. 1992 IJA institutes a moratorium on sale of Life memberships and stages its first non-US convention in Montreal... Miguel Herrera / Benji Hill & Chuck Gunter win the IJA Championships, Daniel Gulko wins the Peoples Choice award, and Lotte Brunn and Michael Moschen are honored with special awards. 

 

1993 

Fritz Grobe wins IJA competition in Fargo with just diabolos, Benji Hill & Chuck Gunter win teams again... Popovich, Airjazz headline IJA convention... Albert Lucas juggles eight plates, Anthony Gatto flashes 12 rings... Serge Percelly's tennis racket juggling steals the show with the Big Apple Circus... The Gandini Juggling Project brings a new style to juggling performance. 

 

1994 

Barry Bakalor announces the creation of the Juggling Information Service (JIS) on the World Wide Web, which quickly becomes the largest source of juggling information on the internet... Avner the Eccentric is the special guest at the IJA festival in Burlington, Vt... Tony Duncan / Crash & Burn win IJA Championships... Charlie Dancey publishes "The Encyclopaedia of Ball Juggling". 

 

1995 

IJA festival in Las Vegas attracts many European attendees... Francoise Rochais becomes the second female to win the IJA Championships, performing with up to six batons, and Blink win the teams competitions... 11-year-old Vladik Miagkostoupov wins IJA junior competition with professional act including solid five clubs and seven balls... John Gilkey is the IJA crowd favorite and soon lands a lead role with Cirque du Soleil... 22-year-old Anthony Gatto prepares for a career beyond juggling - landscaping!?... The Passing Zone juggles on the Miss America Pageant for a TV audience of almost 100 million people worldwide.
