1978 IJA CONVENTION

Come to clean, green Eugene at the foothills of the Cascade mountains for the thirty-first annual IJA convention, July 12th to 16th.

Eugene is easily accessible by bus, train, plane, and car. Air fares are cheapest when purchased thirty days in advance.

Persons staying in Oregon for more than the duration of the convention may be interested in the Oregon Country Faire, July 7th to 9th (approximately fifteen miles from Eugene).

A detailed information pamphlet about the convention is being mailed to all present and past IJA members with known addresses. If you do not receive this pamphlet by the third week in June, please feel free to contact Tom Dewart and Larry Wakeman, Convention Co-chairmen, at Eugene, OR.

THE LAST FROM THIS EDITOR

This is the last issue of the IJA Newsletter of which I will be editor. I have enjoyed my tenure as editor, and I thank the membership for electing me to two terms. I also thank the great number of people who have helped me with the Newsletter, including: those .who have submitted material; the other IJA officers and especially Carol Benge, Roger Dollarhide, Lindsay Leslie, and Dennis Soldati; the editors of the clown and unicycle society newsletters; the several Boston area IJA members who, because of their proximity have gotten drafted to  help with various tasks - especially Eric Roberts who has maintained the address list; the many readers who have sent me notes of encouragement; and Sara and Luke Walden who have helped produce each issue and have had to live with the Newsletter for two years.

I wish the next Newsletter editor all the best and trust that the membership will give him or her the same high level of support it has given me. Thank you, and I hope to see many of you in Eugene.
