February 4-5 Austin, Texas

The Texas Juggling Society presents its second festival, featuring juggling, juggling and nothing but juggling from noon-6 p.m. each day. The fest will be in Bellmont Hall 502 on the campus of the University of Texas at Austin. Contact Jim Maxwell; Austin TX.

 

February 12-19 Pahoa, Hawaii

March 24-27, 1995 Margaret River, West Australia

The First Australian Juggling Festival will be held in this city, about four hours south of Perth.

 

March 31-April 2 Isla Vista, California

The 19th Annual Isla Vista Juggler's Festival will be held.

 

March 31-April 2 Boyne Mountain in Boyne Falls, Michigan

Monkey Business '95, a jugglers skiing weekend, will be held at this fabulous resort. Free ski lessons for jugglers, free juggling lessons for skiers, and slopes available for trying to combine the two. Nighttime fire juggling and prizes. April 1-2 Tallahassee, Florida

The 9th Annual April Fools Day Juggling Festival at Tully Gym. About the size of the large gym in St. Louis. Unicycles are allowed. Located next to the FSU Flying High Circus Lot, and they are expected to perform during the weekend. Saturday 2 p.m. competition, Sunday 2 p.m. public show, On Saturday night there will be the now­traditonal bring-your-own-attorney jugglers party. Contact Gregory Cohen. April 7-8 Winnipeg, Manitoba

April 7-9 Portland, Oregon

The Portland IJA affiliate, "No Problem, Easy Pickup," will host its fourth annual juggling festival at the Reed College Sports Center. This has become the second-largest regional festival in North America, with more than 300 jugglers last year. It features 35 workshops, vendors, open juggling, games and a first-rate Saturday night Juggling and Vaudeville Extravaganza. Contact Stuart Celarier; Portland OR.

April 28-30 Montreal, Quebec

Les Jongleurs Assode du Quebec hosts its third annual festival at the Centre Immaculee­Conception. Saturday night features a "Souper­Cabaret" with Quebec-flavored French cuisine, followed by a juggling show at the Lion D'Or Cabaret. Special guests include diabolo artiste Donald Grant from Scotland, Cirque du Soleil's Daniel "Le Bateleur," Christian Harel and France Robert. Contact Serge Trempe; Quebec, Canada.


May 5-7 Washington, D.C.

The Third Continental Congess of Jugglers will be held (tentatively) at Prince George's Community College, located due east of D.C. right outside the Beltway.. The event is hosted by the U.S. Department of Juggling, the Jugglers of Bowie, the Fairfax Jugglers, and the Baltimore Jugglers Association, and is sponsored by the Juggling Capitol. June 10 Kutztown, Pennsylvania

August 11-18 Goteborg, Sweden

October 6-8 Lodi, California

The 1995 Lodi Juggling Festival will again be held at Micke Grove Park and Zoo in Lodi. Camping, public show, barbecue, street performing and a pervasive atmosphere of shared joy. Contact Andrew Conway; San Francisco CA.

 

Send information on festivals to Juggler's World as far enough ahead of time as possible so that other jugglers can plan their travels. Next issue copy deadline is February 15, for festivals scheduled May 15 through the end of 1995.
