MEMBER JOHN McPEAK WRITES I met Rudy Cardenas at the Las Vegas Lido Revue about a year ago. I told him I was a juggler too (not good at all). He asked me if I belonged to the IJA. Rudy had heard of it. About
6 months later I met Bob Bramson, the German hoop juggler appearing at
the Tropicana. At the time I wanted to get some hoops. Bob's hoops
were made in About
two weeks ago I wrote to Mr. William Jenack of Jenack Cycles in They were Xeroxed and practically unreadable, but I did make out your name and address. First of all I would like to belong to your organization and receive your Newsletter. Is it possible to get back issues, for which I would pay. Second I would like to know where I could buy some props - hats, hoops, a mouthstick, and balancing pedistals. Thirdly, I would like to attend your next Convention if at all possible. I
am 25 years old and have lived in Vegas since January, 1970. I
moved here from I
learned to juggle in 1967-3 balls. In 1968, my brother
returned from doing the "I've Got A Secret" and "Ed
Sullivan" shows in I
substitute teach in the Elementary Schools of Las Vegas and one day I
juggled for the kids (what little I could do.) It went over so
well, I use it often, and would like to learn a little variety. I've heard so much of Enrico Rastelli. Rudy Cardenas said he did 8 plates. Rudy has to be along with Francis Brunn The greatest in the world since Rastelli, according to what I've heard.
MORE McPEAK (9,13/71) Got
your issue of IJA Newsletter. Wowl Wish I could have been at the
Convention. I do the World Acclaimed One Ball Shower And/Or Cascade. I
am looking forward to getting more Newsletters. I am passing them on
to No.1 at the Lido and am getting some photos of him for the
Newsletter. Also I'm having photos made of Unique McPeak and His Got somewhat of a steady teaching job (shockl), no contract tho. I'm not going to lick anyone's boots to have the privilege of getting ulcers. Sincerely, |
