MRS. JOHN BEAHAN WRITES (4/5/71)

My son, Bud Carlson, was here briefly on his way from Antarctica to Washington, D.C. He visited Hap Hazard in Monterey who used to belong to the IJA. The enclosed clipping tells of his building an airplane in his back yard. Bud is mentioned in the article as he used to take Hap up in his plane when he lived here and was teaching meteorology at the U.S Navy Postgraduate School here.

The Newsletter is fine. I have a certain affection for it as I started and I wrote it for several years. Also was the first Secretary-Treasurer.

That's all for now. I'm busy these days as Manager of Monterey County Symphony.

       Sincerely, Violet Beahan.
