Scenes From Amherst

Remembering The IJA's Biggest And Best Convention In Anticipation Of A Bigger And Better One Still. Forward To Fargo!

Eric Roberts, a convention cochairperson, was ecstatic about having learned to juggle four balls in one hand briefly - at the convention. He was proud; but able to put his feat in a larger context. "It's nothing really," he said. "I saw Steve Mok do five in one hand. He started with three in one hand and two in the other, but he switched them over and you could see the pattern for a second; It was something!" Before he left Amherst, he vowed to do seven balls in Fargo.

"Competition really got me excited about learning new things. It's good for juggling," said Dario Pittore, who performed some unique tricks in the seniors division competition. Wanting to show the crowd some things they may not have seen before, Dario juggled coffee cups on a tray, spun a tray on a pole in his ear and balanced a folding chair on his nose. "I want to get out there and win next year ," he said.
