You
might not have noticed me as the club klutz of the '82 Santa Barbara
Convention, standing on the west side of the gym and never getting
past seven or eight tosses. But I stayed with it and today I am the
best in Porterville!
I
got the ladies of our Presbyterian Church to sew cubes for me, which I
fill with wheat and sell for $3 a set. The money goes to our poor
fund. I have sold over $110 worth so far. I give a 5-minute lesson
with each sale, and I never go any place without my cubes or clubs.
People just take them away from me!
Last week Porterville had a blood drive, which we have every two months. I took my clubs and my 10-gallon hat, which I got for donating that much blood, and went into all the stores on Main Street and did by thing with the clubs and asking people to give a pint. I know I got at least four to go down and give. Myron Wilcox, Porterville, California
Still having trouble technically, but I'm doing better with the juggling all the time now. For a while I'm going to perform with my old partner Randy Foster. How we did the show before was he would be the mean, snidley guy and I would be the nice guy. We were good together that way and it should work out well.
I'm
working on a book now on beginning, intermediate, and advanced
juggling with a large portion on performing. It should be out
sometime in the next year, but I have to do a lot of refining. At first
I was wondering if I had enough material. Now I'm wondering how many
volumes! Kit

Anyway,
while at the convention I was talking to Larry Olson about having a
camping convention in the mid west somewhere. Larry said he thought it
would be great, but the big question is where to have it. We're looking
for a campground with showers, a large shelter in case it rains, a lake
and capacity for 100 or more jugglers. If anyone out there knows of a
good place, please contact me. Thanks! Al
