Several juggling acts performed, but did not win awards, at the Sarasota International Circus Festival. They included Chad Franzen, Nicolas Zerbini, Tamara Ashton.

* Ray Wold was awarded the top individual prize, The Golden Cup, for his performance during the month-long Golden Circus in Rome in December and January. The dozen acts did two and three shows a day for audiences at the festival, and the audience voted for their favorites to decide the prize awards at the end of the event. Wold did a seven-minute all­fire act, including his fire devil stick, body burns, flaming cigar boxes, flaming jump rope on a unicycle and flaming chair balance. He then returned to continue with his full length show at the Reno Hilton through February.
