. . . U P D A T E S. . .

Internet access will be available via four Windows laptops in Locker Room #047 (thanks to Daniel Westacott). You can browse the web, send email, connect to other computers with ssh (using teraterm or putty), upload pictures from your camera, plug in your own computer to the ethernet network, or use a wireless network (not secure) called jugglefest. To read email, you may need to configure the laptop software.

Due to 9/11, the security at the juggling facility will be much tighter this year. You will need to wear your festival ID in plain sight at all times to gain access to any IJA event. This security will be on 24 hours a day at the Sovereign Center. Make sure you arrive during registration hours because you will need a festival ID to be inside (except on Monday). Also, be prepared to have your bages checked before entry to the facilities.

The juggling "gym" at the Sovereign Center will be free and open to everyone on Monday, July 15, starting at 10am. No registration or membership is required to juggle in the Sovereign Center on Monday.

The IJA is now offering a premium in the form of early seating at festival shows for a minimum donation to the IJA of $250 per person per show. With a donation of $1000 or more, the donor will get early seating for one at all five evening shows at Reading. A donor cannot save additional seats. If you're interested, contact IJA General Manager Norman Schneiderman.

The time of the IJA Business Meeting (aka the IJA Forum) at the Reading festival has been changed (but the day is still the same). The new time is: Wednesday, noon-2pm.

The workshop schedule is online and updated periodically (see last-update date at the end of the workshop schedule).

Joggling has been rescheduled to Wednesday 8-11am.

Teams/Individuals Championships starts at 7pm Thursday.

Discounted parking near the Sovereign Center is available if you preregister for it.

Shuttle service to/from Inn at Reading/Clarion is available if you preregister for it.

We've added another day this year!  Monday is free!

Rendezvous in Reading!
And meet Evgeni Biljauer!

Here comes the 2002 IJA festival in Reading, Pennsylvania, where many hundreds of jugglers will come to  ...  juggle, share ideas, watch great performances, laugh, attend workshops, learn new techniques, compete and, most of all, to juggle together with old friends and new for six days of fun!

Juggling master Evgeni Biljauer from Moscow will be a special guest of the IJA! He will receive the IJA's Historical Achievement Award and will present a special four-day workshop. Everyone can meet him Tuesday at 3pm.

The IJA festival will be headquartered in the air-conditioned Sovereign Center, Reading's new state-of-the-art Civic Center. (Hint: "Reading" is pronounced "redding".) The gym will be open 22 hours a day (closed only 6-8am for cleaning).

IJA members should have received the Reading fest flyer in May with all festival details. If you would like a copy of the flyer, which includes the registration form, contact Ginny Rose.
