 * The July 11 edition of San Francisco Weekly carried a photo of John Gilkey and his coat rack, along with this description of his appearance in the show "Frederico" at the Cable Car Theatre: "First up is the marvelous John Gilkey, as 'Tim,' a clown / mime whose huge hands seem to grow out of the comically short-sleeved suit he wears. He's tall and skinny, with a rubber face, an endearing smile and a tuft of hair that conveys all sorts of good cheer. And it seems he can do almost anything with the objects he produces for juggling."

* In a summer appearance at Princeton University, Penn Gillette (of Penn &: Teller) did two comedy juggling routines in his show. He juggled three torches, comically catching and dropping the wrong end following a skillful demonstration of chops.
