Welcome Show
Join us Tuesday at The Lexington Opera House for the kickoff of the week's entertainment schedule. This show will feature the best acts from within the IJA family. For info on performing, email Richard Kennison at festival2008.
Renegade Shows
There will be Renegade shows late on Tuesday and Wednesday nights after the evening shows let out. These shows provide a more relaxed atmosphere for performers to try out their newest material and wildest stunts. Refreshing adult beverages and pub food will be available. Performer signups will be at the festival.
Youth Showcase -- Fruit and Vegetable Show
This non-competitive event on Wednesday evening will feature young performers up to age 18. Beginners and experienced jugglers are welcome. This is a great chance to try the stage for the first time. For more information on performing, email producer David Groth at youthshowcase. All acts are asked to include a fruit or vegetable, in some way, in their performance. Any way! Stage time will be limited so sign up early!
Planting the Juggling Seed
On Thursday morning the gym will fill with hundreds of local schoolchildren. This will be a wonderful opportunity to introduce the magic of the manipulative arts on the stage of Planting the Juggling Seed. After the show the kids will get a juggling lesson and an opportunity to speak with professional jugglers. Interested in performing? Contact organizers Kim Laird and Rob Barowski at jugglingseed.
Cascade of Stars
Friday night brings the show you've been waiting for all week, a spectacular convergence of international performers and juggling superstars! To top-off our week's entertainment, The Quebec Circus School, Niels Duinker, Casey Boehmer, and more invited guests will create a world-class exhibition. On this night the Lexington Opera House will become the center of the juggling universe we hope you are there. We expect this show to sell out so purchase your extra tickets early.
Awards Banquet & Show
Saturday night enjoy a buffet-style dinner with your extended IJA family topped off by the awards ceremonies and performances by IJA favorites. For info on performing, email Richard Kennison at festival2008.
