IJA Festival
July 18-24, 2011

With convenient hotels in every price range, plus RV parks and camping sites close to downtown, staying all week for the festival will be affordable and comfortable for everyone!

DoubleTree Hotel Rochester

Fresh from a $30-million remodeling in 2009 and updated with a beautiful new lobby, elegant guest rooms and all the amenities of a first-class full-service hotel, the Doubletree Hotel Rochester is the closest official IJA hotel to the Mayo Civic Center and is directly connected to the downtown Skyway system. You are just one block away from the gym via the Skyway or sidewalk when you choose the DoubleTree Hotel Rochester.

Each guest room features a mini-fridge, microwave oven, flat-screen HDTV, coffeemaker and free Wi-Fi, along with a full list of quality amenities including in-room hair dryers, a spacious work desk and ergo office chair, plus hotel amenities including a business center, guest laundry, indoor swimming pool, spa and exercise room, and a full-service restaurant open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Hilton Garden Inn Rochester 

Located diagonally across the corner from the DoubleTree Hotel, the Hilton Garden Inn Rochester provides spacious rooms and modern amenities in a limited-service business hotel setting. Every room includes a mini-fridge, microwave oven, flat-screen HDTV and free Wi-Fi, plus a large work desk and ergo office chair.

The Hilton Garden Inn also has a quick-service restaurant open for breakfast, plus a cozy lobby bar, indoor swimming pool, spa and exercise room. For all registered guests, discounted parking is $7/day (based on availability) and round-trip RTS airport shuttle is $11. The Hilton Garden Inn is a 100% smoke-free property.

Kahler Grand Hotel

As Rochester’s original downtown hotel, the Kahler Grand is across the street from the world-famous Mayo Clinic and provides classic style in the heart of downtown. Dozens of full-service amenities, three full-service restaurants and the 65 Grand Shops & Boutiques inside the hotel have made the Kahler Grand a favorite of Mayo Clinic visitors for more than three generations. Also located on the downtown Skyway system, the Kahler Grand is about four blocks from the Mayo Civic Center.

Economy Double room type – smaller in square footage than a standard room, one double bed, stand up shower, iron and ironing board, coffee maker and coffee, free high-speed Internet. $75.00/night.

Standard Twin / Twin room type – Standard-sized room with two twin beds, iron and ironing board, coffee maker and coffee, free high-speed Internet.  Some of the rooms do have a mini-refrigerator and a microwave. $82.00/night. 

Standard Double/Double room type – Standard-sized room with two double beds, shower and bathtub, iron and ironing board, coffee maker and coffee, free high-speed Internet, and a microwave oven. $92.00/night.

A very limited number of rooms are available at these special IJA rates. Book early for best availability. 11.375% tax is added to all rates, and rooms are subject to availability through June 18. Camping Near The Festival

Rochester KOA is 10 miles from the Civic Center on County Hwy 19 just south of I-90. The 25-acre family-run campground offers tent camping, one- and two-room cabins and RV sites, free Wi-Fi, a disc golf course, cable TV, outdoor swimming pool, convenience store, laundromat and dining pavilion. Ferguson’s Willow Creek Campground & RV Park is six miles from the Civic Center, located on Hwy 63 (Broadway Avenue) four miles north of I-90. The campground offers tent sites and RV sites, with a nice list of amenities and affordable weekly tenting rates.
