IJA Festival
July 16-22, 2012

The 2012 IJA Festival features three great nights of shows and championship competitions! 

Youth Showcase

This non-competitive stage show Wednesday at 7pm (prior to the Juniors Championships) will feature young performers up to age 18. Beginners and experienced jugglers are welcome. For information on being in the Showcase, contact producer Art Thomas at . Stage time is limited, so sign up early!

IJA Stage Championships

The best jugglers from around the world come to the IJA festival each year to present their skill and art in the IJA Stage Championships, hoping to earn the IJA Gold Medal. Always amazing and often breaking out astounding new tricks and performance styles, the Championships are a must-see for every juggler and juggling fan.

The Juniors Championships will be Wednesday at 8:30pm, and the Individuals and Teams Championships will be Thursday at 7:30pm, both in the Stevens Center Theater. For questions about the IJA stage championships, contact IJA Championships Director Warren Hammond at

Stage Championships entrants: Be sure to read both web pages listed below for important details on entering, including the Copyright Music Policy. The IJA has moved to an all-online video submission process using youtube and juggling.tv. Deadline for receipt of the Preliminary Video is June 11. You can submit all of your information and video here. The video should be a single continuous shot of your full act (actual costume, music and routine) with no editing at all. Please also make sure your props contrast against the background. There is an entry fee for all competitors of $25 per event.

Cascade of Stars

The crescendo of the week’s entertainment happens Friday night at 7:30pm at the Cascade of Stars public show, bringing together all of the special guests and featured artists from the festival along with additional top-ranked variety performers in one amazing showcase of world-class talent from around the world. It takes place in the spectacular Stevens Center Theater, a beautiful and spacious vaudeville-era performance venue just one block from the Benton Convention Center. General admission tickets for the Cascade of Stars are included in the event package, and we expect another sell-out show as we had in 2007 and 2009 thanks to the wonderful response to the festival from the local Winston-Salem community. Other Events

Throughout the week, there will be more competitive events such as the Numbers Championships, Joggling Championships, and the Games of the IJA.
